All Your Apps Are Belong to Apple: The iPhone Developer Program License Agreement   ⇒

To call the agreement draconian is being generous. What’s worse, I don’t see Apple changing these rules any time soon. The problem is that until there is real competition from other handset makers, the iPhone platform remains the most enticing. There are no shortage of stories about apps being rejected for stupid reasons or being removed without warning, but that hasn’t stopped developers from flocking to the platform. Apple is always quick to point out how many apps are available on the store, how many have been downloaded, etc. It’s risky to take part in the AppStore, since you have no control over the distribution of your application, but the rewards can be immense. Or at least, that’s the idea Apple is trying to sell everyone.
