Apple's iPhone 4.0 software to deliver multitasking support ⇒
News from AppleInsider, so you can take it with a grain of salt. That said, it’s not like the OS doesn’t support multitasking, it’s just not something exposed to the user. It’s certainly reasonable to think mutlitasking is something they’d throw in as a feature when they run out of new do-dads to add to the phone. (Like when they added a video camera to the nano.)
