Dev-Team Blog: Fixing what Apple won't ⇒
On Wednesday, Apple (finally) released firmware 4.0.2, which patches the very large security holes exploited by @comex in the 2nd incarnation of jailbreakme.com. The only problem is they outright abandoned iPhone2G and iPod Touch 1G users!
This is a good way to earn good karma. I suspect it’s also some nice press for them as a group. (Assuming people pick up on this story.) I’m surprised Apple didn’t push the update out to the two oldest iOS phones and iPods. Shima still uses a 2G phone. I suspect lots of people do.
